Sun Media's Journal de Quebec has been publishing daily during the four-month lockout and strike, but not without some ethical red flags, says CUPE.
A CUPE press release claims a Journal worker arranged an interview with a member of Québec's National Assembly by claiming to be from canoe.ca.
CUPE also says sports copy appearing in the Quebec City daily has included verbatim press releases from sporting organizations.
Two weeks ago, a Quebec labour board ruled four "scabs" were being used by management to get the Journal published.
"It's hard to get decent help when you've locked out your employees," says the CUPE press release.
The 280 locked out and striking employees have been publishing MediaMatin, a CUPE-backed free weekday tabloid.
