A Toronto Sun Family reader e-mailed to say while Doug Beazley and Keith Bradford will be missed, they are not the first high-profile people to leave the Edmonton Sun.
"Lifestyle editor Sally Johnston departed in January to become a chef after having most of her job outsourced to 'national' copy," the e-mail read.
"Lifestyle editor Sally Johnston departed in January to become a chef after having most of her job outsourced to 'national' copy," the e-mail read.
"And Business editor Tim Leriche left in February for another media job for the same reasons: his job was basically eliminated by Quebecor in favour of "national" copy. He got frustrated waiting for a buyout and quit.
"So Edmonton has lost three section editors (Lifestyle, sports, business) since the start of the year and one senior newsroom editor/writer in Doug Beazley. "
Thank you for your update.
